Understandably, most of us are experiencing mixed emotions due to a sudden change in how we move about our daily life. Stress, anxiety and sadness are a few of the feelings you may be experiencing these days. We wanted to take a moment to give you some tips on how to stay well during these challenging times. Let’s all take time to pause, reflect on our lives, and to nurture ourselves so we can better serve others and feel good about ourselves.

Many of us had been on-the-go. This is an ideal time to stop, take a deep breath and create a relaxing day in the comfort of our homes. Here are a few tips from the team at Spa Shiki on how you can create a spa experience.

Take a Warm Bath

Fill up the tub, add the glow of candles and don’t forget to put in a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Take it a step further by mixing in Himalayan bath salts, or our personal favorite, Spa Shiki’s green algae bath powder. It’s known for its abundance of minerals to rejuvenate the body.
A nice warm bath will help soothe muscles, relax your body, boost your immune system and has numerous other scientifically-proven benefits.

DIY Face Mask

Before you pile on a face mask, make sure to cleanse your skin with the appropriate product for your skin type. Use a toner to balance the pH of the skin and remove any additional oil or make-up. Then, apply your desired mask.

This is one thing that many of us don’t always have time for, but it’s extremely beneficial to obtain desired results and radiant, glowing skin. One of our top picks here at Spa Shiki is the bamboo age corrective mask. It results in a 25% increase in collagen production in days. You’ll get immediate results, loaded with antioxidants, proteins, vitamins and minerals. All you have to do is lay back, relax, and let the mask do all the work!
When removing your mask, use a warm towel. Leave it on the skin for a few minutes and enjoy the warmth of the soft towel…it feels wonderful! After removing your mask, apply a small amount of a serum of your choice, lightly pat into the entire face and décolleté. Patting gently with your fingertips, apply your eye cream. Lastly, softly massage moisturizer into your neck, décolleté and entire face.

Get Some Fresh Air

Oxygenate. It’s time to get outside and breathe in the fresh air! Our air quality today may be cleaner than it has been in years. Soak up the vitamin D. Getting into nature can boost white blood cells that help fight infection, lower blood pressure and reduce stress. Who doesn’t need this right now?

Drink Plenty of Water

Stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids. Here at Spa Shiki, we like to keep you hydrated. Add some lemon to your water for a bit a flavor and to enjoy the lovely benefits it has to offer —detoxification, weight loss, and improved skin quality. Don’t forget about our Pure Inventions water enhancements!! Every product is powered with anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals to creating a healthy beverage and supports your well-being.

Rewire the Brain

Meditate! Turn off all technology, create a comfortable meditation space, situp straight, relax and bring your attention to your breathing. Start by doing this for a few minutes and work your way up to 30 minutes twice a day. In return you will start to see stress levels lower, healthy eating choices will become easier, creativity will spark, and decisions will become easier to make.
You might try a mediation app to help you on your journey.

Make It Kid-Friendly

If you have kiddos at home, they need pampering too. One of my son’s favorite things is a foot massage or reflexology and he LOVES a fresh warm towel or blanket from the drier. These are such small things yet they are extremely comforting. Remember, their lives have changed substantially as well so let’s help them enjoy some spa time too!

We hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy. We will all pull through this challenging time stronger and healthier than ever before!!
