About the Lake of the Ozarks
Spa Shiki is located on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. The Lake of the Ozarks is located in central Missouri, two hours from St. Louis and three hours from Kansas City. Visitors come to golf on spectacular courses, make a splash on the water, and shop at the Osage Beach Premium Outlets.
The Lake of the Ozarks was created during the early 1930s. Known as the northern gateway to the Ozarks, the Lake covers 54,000 acres, impounds 646 billion gallons of water, has 1,150 miles of cove-indented shoreline, and is encircled by lush forests and rising bluffs. Hailed as the most skillful engineering feat of its day, actual construction of Bagnell Dam (and what was at that time the world’s largest man-made lake) began August 6, 1929 by Union Electric Company of St. Louis, MO (now AmerenUE).
