LAKE OZARK, MO – Spa Shiki director and ISPA board member Ann Brown is scheduled to speak at the  American Massage Therapy Association 2010 National Convention September 22 – 25 at  the Minneapolis Convention Center (www.amtamassage.org). Brown will present on demystifying the benefits of spa and spa treatments. Her presentation will cover the benefits of hot and cold compress applications and principles of hydrotherapy and thermalism. The workshop will also include a hands-on review of thalassotherapy.

The AMTA National Convention will offer more than 20 hours of continuing massage education and workshops. With more than 50 chapters nationwide, AMTA is the largest nonprofit association serving massage students, massage schools and massage therapists. The volunteer-led AMTA strives to set professional ethics and standards while promoting licensing massage therapists in all states and the public education on the benefits of massage.

The new looks reflect the spa’s dedication to staying at the forefront of the spa industry, bringing a combination of time-honored spa traditions, cutting edge philosophy and top spa treatments to its guests. Hope House To Benefit From Spa Shiki Spring Cut-A-Thon

LAKE OZARK, MO – Now through April 15, Haiku, the salon at Spa Shiki, is holding a cut-a-thon to raise money for the Hope House emergency aid center and food pantry. The salon is offering a cut and style for only $20 Monday through Friday with $5 from every cut and style going to Hope House. The Hope House is a non-profit organization, a food pantry and thrift shop that serve residents in Miller and Camden Counties.
